A manual 52-inch shear for cutting sheet metals and plastics.


  • 16 GA mild steel
  • 10 GA stainless steel
  • 0.125 aluminum (1100, 2024)

Safety Rules

  • Risk of projectiles. Wear safety glasses.
  • Risk of cuts from sharp material edges. Wear gloves when handling sheet metal.
  • Risk of cuts and dismemberment. Keep hands clear of the blade.
  • Never operate without the hold-down installed and set to 3/16" or less above the table.
  • Wear sturdy footwear.
  • Watch your head when bending underneath machine to retrieve material.

Operational Notes

  • 16 GA steel maximum capacity. Refer to the conversion chart to determine the maximum thickness allowed for other materials.
  • Don't force the cut. If it takes too much force to cut a material, it is beyond the machine's capacity or the machine is improperly set.


NOTE: These materials are not a substitute for hands-on training with an experienced user.

Back Gauge Adjustment

  1. Loosen the four lock screws (70)
  2. Slide the gauge to an approximate position.
  3. Tighten the rear lock screws. Use the adjustment dial to make fine-tune adjustments.
  4. Tighten the front lock screws
